Development of an Application for Salesforce-Website Integration

A sales-enablement startup wanted its marketing content inside Salesforce and on the AppExchange. We built a Lightning app that surfaced the right collateral for every deal.

Launched on Salesforce AppExchange as a new revenue channel

01Problem

A US-based startup serving mid-market and enterprise companies needed to connect its website platform to Salesforce Sales Cloud. Sales teams wanted formatted marketing materials — case studies and success stories — available directly within Salesforce during the sales process. The goal was to streamline content discovery and eventually distribute the app via AppExchange to grow the customer base.

02Solution

We developed a single-page application on the Lightning Component framework. It used REST API callouts with OAuth 2.0 for secure user verification, ran on both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience, and let users filter content by account name, company size, deal size, and industry. Formatted content surfaced in dedicated Account and Opportunity record sections, matched to each deal.

03Impact
  • Successfully launched the custom application on Salesforce AppExchange
  • Boosted sales productivity with contextually relevant content matched to specific deals
  • Enabled filtering and search across marketing materials by account, industry, and deal size
  • Created a revenue-generating distribution channel through AppExchange
