A nationwide telecommunications provider ran Salesforce Sales Cloud for sales and SharePoint Online for document management — contracts, orders, proposals, and marketing content. Working across two separate systems hampered document workflows and made client communication about documents and content sharing inefficient.
We developed a custom Salesforce application on the Lightning Component framework, integrated with SharePoint Online. It delivered file search and upload across both systems, on-the-fly SharePoint synchronization, file preview and download, document linking to Account, Contact, and Opportunity records, email sharing of SharePoint links to contacts, single sign-on via Salesforce SAML and Azure AD, and user-configurable settings with documentation.
